Treatment involves tapping energy points on the upper body, hands and face as well as specific eye movements to achieve its impressive results.
In a session, the client - fully dressed - sits opposite the Thought Field Therapist. We will discuss what negative emotion is holding them back (anger, anxiety, procrastination… or where in the body they may feel chronic pain). To have a base line, we get the client to rate it on a number scale from 1-10, 10 being the highest level of discomfort and 1 feeling completely relaxed about the issue.
We’ll go to the root cause of the problem and start tapping - the client copies on their own body what the therapist is doing on theirs, for example: tapping under the eye then under the arm and other areas. We’ll track the progress made throughout the session by checking the score on the scale again and continue tapping until the client feels relaxed about the very issue they came in with.
TFT is so effective that most people only need between 1-3 sessions to deal with their problem. We may give you some ‘homework’ to continue with a tapping or breathing routine at home.
Successful treatments will leave you feeling calmer and more relaxed.
After a session you may feel a bit tired or even exhausted. This won’t last long but we recommend to keep the time table light on the day or even consider taking the rest of the day off.
